AirAsia And Vietjet Expand Routes

India’s international air connectivity is continuing to grow, particularly with direct international flights to countries in Asia like Thailand and Vietnam. Several airlines, including AirAsia Thailand and Vietnam’s Vietjet, have recently introduced direct international flights to cities in these countries from various Indian cities.

While Vietjet is introducing a new direct flight from Ahmedabad to Da Nang, AirAsia Thailand is expanding its India network with new direct international flights from Chennai to Phuket and Hyderabad to Bangkok. The Hyderabad to Bangkok flights will operate four times a week starting October 27, 2024, while the Chennai to Phuket flights will operate thrice a week starting October 30, 2024.

AirAsia and Vietjet’s special fares, where to book, and more

AirAsia is offering special fares to celebrate the launch of the new flights. The Hyderabad to Bangkok route is available for INR 7,390, and the Chennai to Phuket flights are being offered at INR 6,990. Bookings for these flights can be made until September 22, 2024, for travel between October 2024 and March 2025. Plans are underway to increase the number of AirAsia flight connections between Thailand and India to 14. Incidentally, only customers booking through the AirAsiaMOVE app or through their website are eligible for the special fares.

Vietjet is also introducing a new direct international flight from Ahmedabad to Da Nang starting October 24, 2024. One-way flights are available for INR 5,555 for bookings made on September 16, 2024, for travel between October 23, 2024, and May 22, 2025. The airline is offering a 30 percent discount on Business and SkyBoss class tickets for bookings made on September 16, 2024. Additionally, Vietjet is partnering with Furama Resort Danang to offer discounts to the first 100 early bird passengers for a chance to win up to 100 percent discounts for one night at the resort.

Bangkok and Phuket are two of the most popular destinations in Thailand known for their cultural experiences, water sports, sandy beaches, and delectable cuisine. Da Nang in Vietnam is one of its most visited coastal cities, with various amazing natural wonders such as The Marble Mountains, cultural spots such as centuries-old pagodas, and many tranquil beaches.
